The best defensive form is Sprinting.
Try Israeli Grav Maga (street fighting techniches) very effective.
it depends on how skilled you want to end up, if you just want to bob and weave join boxing, but if you want true skill and the ability to take away someones balance without much effort then check out some tai chi or bagua application videos on youtube to get an idea
I’d recommend Aikido, unarmed combat for Samurai.
There are a few counterstrikes but it is mostly blocks, taking your opponents balance followed by a take down, The take down may be controlled in order to restrain your opponent or it may be done with full power and technique to disable your opponent.
Aikido is very much about technique not physical strength.
Look for video of the founder Master Ueshiba demonstrating the power of Aikido.
For evasion, ducking and diving then something like boxing will be quicker to learn but in my opinion not as effective.
if its a dude, u cower in fright and when he has his legs apart, kick him in the ****. or u can shove a **** pic in front of his eyes.
if its a chick, u say that theres a giveaway at david jones or some other clothes or jewellery store and shes sure to run off.
if its heaps of people ganging up on u. u point at somewhere random and say “omfg! thats amazing!” so their attention wil b diverted and u can run 4 it or enjoy that last laugh. or u could rip up grass and through it at them. in fact just find anything thats not stuck down and chuck it at them as u run for ure liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiifffffffffffffffffffffffeeeeeeeee!
Any of the martial arts can be expressed totally defensively or totally aggressively or a bit of both.Your mind set seems defensive so you will view any method from that mind set and interpret it that way.
But here is a caution. You can not defend indefinitely the maximum is usually 3 strikes or less .Somewhere between the 1st strike and 3rd strike you will be hit. There are many self defense situations that require you to hit 1st if you are to survive.
I tell my students that the best defense in a bar fight is to be at home when the fight happens.
In other words, don’t be there.
I have no idea how so many people get into fights. I’m 41 years old, haven’t been in a fight since HS and that one was stupid.
the best defense is a good offense
brazilian jiu jitsu
I practice Karate and i’ve seen people put down with a block. no need to punch. karate descends from Kung-fu. Kung-fu was developed by Buddhist Monks. How much more passive can you get. i would say kung-fu. If not available , try true karate, goju-ryu, shorin-ryu, or eiichi-ryu. All drills and katas start with blocks.
Basic self defense classes will cover blocks, and ways to avoid being hit. They are less intense and do not take much time to master.
aikido, bagua, Hakko-ryu.
Aikido is the most defensive.
